In my spare time, I enjoy messing around with shapes and color to create intriguing patterns. Shown to the right are patterns, posters, cd covers and skateboard designs I've worked on.
The objective for this assignment was to rebrand canon based on what I believe their brand portrays.
The rebrand was inspired by a statement I found on Canon’s website, expressing that their high technological advancements are being used to uncover the mysteries and wonders of the universe.

The objective for this re-design was to bring excitement to the flat and repetitive layout of the original Stars and Nebulas book. The visual language of this book redesign focuses on the depth and overwhelming vastness of space. I chose to play with the scale and placement of type as well as the inversion of black and white on the page. I added a fun, childhood aspect by making the edges of the pages glow in the dark. The large white type on the promotional poster that accompanies the book also glows.

Looking through city guide books can be a drag due to the amount of overwhelming text on a single page and lack of color. I chose to create a more user-friendly guidebook for Tokyo. The size of the publication is based on the tatami mat dimensions and it is read right to left.
Boiler room is music project that launched in london in 2010. It organizes dj performances and live music sessions that are streamed online.
The objective for this assignment was to redesign the mobile app to provide users with an archive of music sessions that are intuitive and efficient to navigate through.
MISIZ Magazine is a bi-annual print publication exploring women in the art, film and music scene. The purpose for this publication was to inspire young girls and women through the women we feature so that they may aspire to work towards a career they truly love regardless of the gender boundaries society has accumulated through time. It is a celebration of the women who break the mold. Each issue focuses on one of three themes: reversal, distortion or anomaly. Throughout the publication, the themes continue revolving around the the main topic previously stated.
Shift Mag is an interactive editorial piece for the iPad. It offers an outlook on skateboard culture. Shift provides skaters with the information they are most interested in while incorporating a visually stimulating and interactive experience.
